Real Women.

To say this photoshoot was our dream come true is an understatement. What I always envisioned when starting a hair and makeup company was to showcase REAL beauty. Unfiltered, and rich with diverse ethnicities. I’m not interested in perfection, or in seeing photoshopped or filtered women staring back at me. Unattainable beauty, and not unique in the slightest.

Growing up as a first generation Chilean immigrant, I did not see faces like mine on magazines. I saw what I was fed to believe, a certain type of beauty. Something I could never be.

Wildflower Artistry is deeper than hair and makeup. We want to be the team that helps young girls and grown women who feel different to know that YES you are different and THAT is why you are beautiful the way you are. That is exactly what the world needs to see. Skintones rich in colours; eyes and noses of all shapes and sizes; lips both thin and plump; hair elegantly thin or wildly full; THAT is true beauty. And we want to represent this.

These 4 beautiful women who modelled for us, vary in age, vary in ethnicities, and are all stunning. We chose makeup and hair that suited them individually, and enhanced their own individual beauty.

Thank you to our talented photographer Stephanie Serrano of Fusion Photography who brought our vision to life. The insanely stunning location was Studio Atelier, located on 17th Avenue in Downtown Calgary.

If there’s anything you take from reading about our team, its this: We are different, we want to always be different and real. We won’t blend in, and we don’t want you to either.
